As of Fall 2024, the Robotics Center will offer undergraduate students a Robotics Minor or Certificate to add to their current undergraduate STEM major as an additional credential to list on their resumes (they cannot be completed on a standalone basis). The Robotics minor and certificate provide knowledge for integrating hardware and software with algorithms to create the next generation of intelligent machines and are geared towards students majoring in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Bachelor’s Degrees Related to Robotics
There is currently not a Bachelor’s degree in Robotics available, but various other majors offer emphases or tracks related to robotics (the requirements for which could also count towards the Robotics Minor or Certificate):
- Mechanical Engineering majors can complete a Robotics and Control or Mechatronics emphasis without any additional courses.
- Electrical and Computer Engineering majors can complete informal tracks in power, controls, or robotics.
- Computer Science and Software Development majors can complete one of various informal tracks related to robotics.
